Xgimi RS30 – a new generation of 4K laser projectors

Xgimi has unveiled its new RS30 projector series, comprising four models: RS30 Pro, RS30 Pro Max, RS30 Ultra and RS30 Ultra Max. The new generation replaces the RS20 series and is expected to be offered globally as the Xgimi Horizon 30.

The projectors combine a laser light source, 4K resolution and advanced gaming features, making them suitable for both movie watching and gaming on a large screen.

High brightness and 4K picture

The entire series uses DLP technology and a laser light source, offering images of up to 300 inches. Depending on the model, brightness ranges from 3600 to as much as 6800 ISO lumens, while the top-of-the-range RS30 Ultra Max reaches a 7000:1 native contrast ratio.

The projectors also offer 98% coverage of the BT.2020 color space and excellent color accuracy. They support Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced, allowing users to take full advantage of HDR content.

Thanks to the 1.2–1.5:1 optical zoom, installation is more flexible, while the image can be further adjusted using automatic geometry correction.

A projector for demanding gamers

One of the most interesting features of the RS30 series is its gaming performance. The projectors offer just 1 ms of input latency and refresh rates of up to 240 Hz. They also support VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium.

In practice, this means the RS30 can be used not only as a home cinema projector, but also as a large-format gaming display.

Harman Kardon and modern connectivity

Xgimi has also paid attention to audio. The projectors feature Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Audio, allowing them to serve as a complete home entertainment solution without immediately requiring an external sound system.

Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1 with eARC, USB, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The devices run on the GMUI 6.0 operating system.

Four models with different performance levels

The RS30 series includes four variants, allowing users to choose a projector according to their needs and budget. The RS30 Pro offers up to 3600 ISO lumens and a 4000:1 contrast ratio, while the flagship RS30 Ultra Max reaches up to 6800 ISO lumens and a 7000:1 contrast ratio.

The Xgimi RS30 shows that a modern projector can be much more than a device for watching movies. The combination of high brightness, 4K, Dolby Vision, 240 Hz and 1 ms latency also makes the series an attractive solution for demanding users and gamers.
