Yesterday (21.02.2024), Optoma unveiled its latest model, the UHZ55 - a laser projector featuring 4K UHD and DLP® technology. The UHZ55 projector joins the award-winning lineup of true 4K resolution projectors, including its predecessor, the popular UHZ50 model, and is designed to meet all home entertainment and home office needs. With 3000 lumens, a contrast ratio of 2,500,000:1, easy installation features, and Optoma's DuraCore laser light source, the new UHZ55 model delivers sharp images and enables viewing even with the lights on for all home entertainment, gaming, and remote work needs.

The UHZ55 offers four times the standard refresh rate at 240 Hz at 1080p for a smooth PC gaming experience, comparable to the fastest gaming monitors, and an ultra-fast response time of 16.9 ms in 4K at 60 Hz for immersive 4K gaming on next-generation consoles.

Designed with Texas Instruments' DLP® technology and Optoma's DuraCore laser technology, the UHZ55 projector equipped with a laser light source allows for up to 30,000 hours of maintenance-free use. As a more economical option with 24/7 home operation capability, the laser light source even lasts six times longer than an equivalent lamp-based projector in Eco Mode. The UHZ55 provides reliable usage and consistent brightness, remaining like new even after five years of use.

For optimal and precise viewing experience, the UHZ55 features HDR10 and HLG support, vibrant color with DCI-P3 WCG, and PureMotion MEMC technology to eliminate motion blur - all backed by true 4K UHD technology that displays 8.3 million pixels for detailed, lifelike video playback. The UHZ55 can also display immersive 3D content, including Blu-ray discs, broadcasts, and the latest game consoles.
