Hisense launches the new ultra short throw projector PL2, which replaces the PL1 model and brings significant improvements. Hisense, a Chinese company known for its innovations in home cinema projection, has announced a new series of long throw laser projectors. Now the company introduces the ultra short throw projector PL2, which replaces the successful PL1 model.

The new PL2 projector is a DLP projector with a new DMD chip that supports 1080p signals at 240Hz and 4K at 120Hz. The throw ratio has been reduced from 0.25:1 in the PL1 model to 0.22:1 in the PL2, meaning it requires less space for image projection. The PL2 is equipped with a laser/phosphor light source with a maximum brightness of 2700 lumens, an improvement over the PL1's 2100 lumens. The dynamic contrast remains at 3000:1.

Additionally, the PL2 is 3D-ready. It is compatible with 4K HDR10/HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and thanks to Texas Instrument's XPR technology, it can process a UHD image from the native 1080p resolution.
