Düsseldorf, August 22, 2024 – Epson introduces a new series of professional 4K laser projectors for home users – the EH-Q series. The series includes three models: EH-QB1000W/B, EH-QL3000W/B, and EH-QL7000W/B. They offer an immersive and vivid home entertainment experience, whether used in specially designed home cinema or media rooms or in well-lit living spaces. The EH-Q series projectors display images with a diagonal of up to 1000 inches (25.4 m) and will be available from October at selected home cinema retailers.
All projectors in this new series use Epson’s 3LCD laser technology and deliver images with 4K Super-Resolution (3840 x 2160). The EH-QB1000 model projects images with a diagonal of up to 300 inches (7.62 m), while the EH-QL3000 and EH-QL7000 models reach up to 1000 inches (25.4 m). With a brightness of up to 10,000 lumens, the EH-QL7000 offers particularly bright and vivid images. The EH-QL3000 achieves a brightness of up to 6,000 lumens, while the EH-QB1000 delivers up to 3,300 lumens. These brightness levels ensure optimal visual experiences in various environments without the need for installation limitations.
The dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 provides precise shadow details and deeper blacks. 4K Frame Interpolation technology ensures smooth image movements, while Super-Resolution keeps details sharp in every scene. Additionally, the EH-QL3000 and EH-QL7000 models support HDR10, while the EH-QB1000 supports HDR10+ for even more intense viewing experiences during movies and sports broadcasts.
With HDMI 2.1 ports, a 4K/120 Hz refresh rate, and Auto-Low-Latency mode, these projectors also offer an exceptional gaming experience. Their outstanding image quality combined with the large projection area makes them ideal for sports simulations. The EH-QL3000 and EH-QL7000 models are compatible with a variety of interchangeable lenses and are easy to configure to deliver optimal image quality in any room. These include options such as an Ultra-Short-Throw lens with zero offset, which allows for discreet ceiling installation. The interchangeable lenses allow for flexible adjustment of the projection distance without needing to move the projectors.
The projectors are compatible with a wide range of IP control systems, can be integrated into existing installations, and offer many other advantages, such as easy adjustment. The motorized lens shift function with a wide adjustment range, along with motorized zoom and focus, ensures quick and easy setup of the projector. The almost instant warm-up and cool-down time contributes to its exceptional comfort, energy efficiency, and long laser life (20,000 hours). Thanks to the built-in support for Crestron, Control4, and RS232C/wired LAN systems, the projector can be easily integrated into a smart home network, making the viewing experience even more enjoyable.
Axel Inhoffen, Sales Manager DACH at Epson, says: “This is an exciting new series for Epson, and we are confident that all three projectors will be a great success. The demand for large-format entertainment with high-quality image reproduction in bright living or media rooms has never been greater than it is today. These professional home projectors can be seamlessly and uncompromisingly integrated into bright environments and are packed with technology and features for film, sports, and gaming enthusiasts seeking a more intense experience.”
