Optoma Introduces New Short-Throw Projectors for Golf Simulators and AV Installations

Optoma has expanded its range of short-throw projectors with four new models: the GT2200HDR, ZH521ST, UHZ36STe and ZK521ST. The devices have been designed for golf simulators, home entertainment and professional AV installations.

Their short throw ratios make it possible to produce a large image from a limited distance. This allows the projector to be installed closer to the screen, reducing shadows cast by the user and making better use of the available space.

Four Models for Different Applications

The Optoma GT2200HDR is a Full HD projector based on 4LED technology. It features a 1.2x optical zoom and is suitable for gaming, sports viewing, home cinema and entry-level golf simulators.

The more advanced ZH521ST uses a DuraCore laser light source and delivers approximately 5,300 lumens of brightness. It offers Full HD resolution, an IP6X-certified dust-resistant optical engine and a design intended for intensive use.

The UHZ36STe and ZK521ST both deliver images in 4K UHD resolution. The UHZ36STe offers 4,000 lumens and a very short throw ratio of 0.496:1, while the ZK521ST increases brightness to 5,000 lumens, making it better suited to larger and brighter rooms.

Dedicated Picture Modes for Golf Simulators

Selected models include dedicated picture modes for golf simulation. Their settings have been optimised to improve the reproduction of green fairways and blue skies, including in rooms with ambient light.

The ZH521ST and ZK521ST also feature a picture mode developed specifically for use with GSPro software.

Long Lifespan and Easier Management

The GT2200HDR uses a 4LED light source, while the remaining models rely on DuraCore laser technology. Their lifespan can reach up to 30,000 hours, helping to reduce operating costs and eliminating the need for regular lamp replacement.

The projectors can be controlled through the Optoma Smart Control App. The ZH521ST and ZK521ST also support the Optoma Management Suite, which enables remote monitoring and management of devices in larger installations.

Optoma’s new range therefore includes both models for home entertainment and more powerful projectors designed for professional golf simulators, training rooms and commercial installations.
