Hisense has unveiled its new 4K laser projectors, Discovery X1 and Discovery X1 Ultra. These ultra short throw models bring immersive home cinema with massive visuals and integrated Dolby Atmos sound.

4K Laser Projector for Home Theater

Both models feature the advanced MCL39 TriChroma laser light source, delivering vivid, accurate colors and consistent brightness.

The Discovery X1 comes in 92" and 100" options (up to 600 nits), while the X1 Ultra offers 100" and 120" screen sizes, with a 150" version in development and brightness up to 1,000 nits.

Cinematic Picture Quality with TriChroma and IMAX Enhanced

With a 4K DLP projection system covering 110% of the BT.2020 color space, users get vibrant, lifelike images. Support for IMAX Enhanced and Filmmaker Mode ensures movies appear just as directors intended – with accurate colors and original aspect ratios.

Built-in Harman Kardon Audio with Dolby Atmos

Developed in collaboration with Harman Kardon, the Discovery X1 features a 7.1.2 sound system, while the X1 Ultra upgrades to a 9.1.4 setup. Both support Dolby Atmos, offering immersive, multidimensional sound – no external speakers required.

Ultra Short Throw – Big Screen in Small Spaces

Thanks to ultra short throw technology, these projectors can display images up to 150 inches from just inches away from the wall. Perfect for smaller rooms, even with ambient lighting.

Availability

The Hisense Discovery X1 series is currently available in China. No global release date has been announced yet.
