Dangbei S7 Ultra Max: A New Standard in Home Theater Projection
Dangbei has unveiled its latest flagship projector, the S7 Ultra Max, aimed squarely at premium home theater enthusiasts. This model introduces a number of significant upgrades over its predecessors, including what the company touts as the industry’s first full-link liquid cooling system, designed to enhance thermal efficiency and reduce operational noise.

High-End Imaging with Triple Laser Precision
At the core of the S7 Ultra Max is a triple-color RGB laser light source, paired with DLP technology and a 0.47-inch DMD chip. The projector is capable of native 4K resolution, with a peak brightness of up to 5,800 CVIA lumens—though standardized ANSI lumen values haven’t been disclosed. The image quality is further enhanced by 100% coverage of DCI-P3, BT.2020, and Display P3 color gamuts.
The contrast ratio sits at 8,000:1 natively, with dynamic contrast reaching 150,000:1 thanks to Dangbei’s proprietary DynamicX deep black algorithm. The image engine, known as ELRS Eclipse, includes 48 laser units, 17 custom optical lenses, and an eight-layer anti-speckle module to reduce grain and visual artifacts.

Large-Scale Projection with Flexible Throw
The lens system features an optical zoom range of 0.98:1 to 1.6:1, enabling projection sizes between 80 and 300 inches. The projector supports multiple aspect ratios, including 16:9 and 21:9, with an integrated tilting stand offering up to 180° adjustment for flexible positioning.
Supported formats include Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and DTS:X, making the S7 Ultra Max suitable for a wide range of high dynamic range content.
Advanced Cooling and Low Noise Operation
One of the standout features is its full-link liquid cooling system, a first in the projector industry. This innovation boosts heat dissipation efficiency by up to 50% compared to air-cooled systems, and drops the noise floor to just 24 dB, making it suitable even for quieter home theater environments.
Powered by Android, Designed for Convenience
Under the hood, the projector runs on a MediaTek MT9681 chipset with a quad-core Cortex-A73 CPU, backed by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It operates on Dangbei OS 6.0, based on Android 14, offering a fluid and feature-rich experience.
Smart features include autofocus, automatic keystone correction, intelligent screen alignment, and far-field voice control. A 240Hz Game Mode ensures low-latency input for gaming, while wireless screen casting is available via AirPlay, Miracast, and Huawei Cast+.
Comprehensive Connectivity and Audio Integration
Connectivity options include:
-
2x HDMI 2.1 ports (1x eARC)
-
USB 3.0
-
USB-C
-
Bluetooth 5.2
-
Wi-Fi 6
Audio is delivered through dual 15W speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS:X support, providing a rich and immersive sound experience straight out of the box.
Design and Dimensions
The S7 Ultra Max comes in a compact chassis measuring 336 x 202 x 287 mm and weighs 8.2 kg. It ships with a 360W power adapter, a Bluetooth remote, and standard accessories.
